Actor Tahir Raj Bhasin has officially wrapped the shooting of filmmaker and designer Vikram Phadnis’ upcoming Hindi film. The yet-to-be-titled project marks Phadnis’ Hindi-language directorial debut and features Bhasin in the lead role.
The actor shared the news with fans through a heartfelt post on Instagram, offering a glimpse of his journey on the film’s set. Bhasin posted a series of behind-the-scenes photographs alongside Phadnis and members of the crew, celebrating the completion of the shoot.
In his post, Bhasin expressed gratitude to the filmmaker and the entire team that worked on the project.
“It’s a wrap. What a ride this one’s been,” the actor wrote. “Thank you Vikram for writing and directing a part that is all heart and has been such a treat to play. Can’t wait to share your labour of love with the world.”
He also praised cinematographer Jayoza for elevating the visual aesthetic of the film. Bhasin described the filmmaker as “a magician with the lens” and thanked the energetic crew, assistants and co-stars who were part of the project.
Speaking about the film, Bhasin revealed that the role offered him an opportunity to explore a different side of his acting range. Over the years, the actor has built a reputation for portraying intense and morally complex characters, particularly in web series and thrillers.
However, this project marks a deliberate shift away from those darker roles.
Bhasin said working with Phadnis was a rewarding experience, praising the filmmaker’s warmth and enthusiasm on set. He added that the film allowed him to experiment with a lighter and more emotional storytelling style.
“I’m grateful that he chose me as the lead of his Hindi-language directorial debut,” Bhasin said. “This project is particularly special because it let me step away from the anti-hero roles I’ve played for years and explore a slice-of-life narrative that feels fresh and emotional.”
While the actor chose not to reveal details about his character, he hinted that audiences will see a new dimension of his on-screen persona.
The film marks the third directorial venture for Phadnis, who is widely known in the fashion industry before moving into filmmaking. His transition into cinema has attracted attention for blending visual style with emotionally driven storytelling.
Bhasin recently delivered a string of successful performances across streaming platforms. He appeared as a menacing antagonist in the spy thriller series Special Ops Season 2. Before that, he featured in the popular series Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein and the period crime drama Sultan of Delhi.
With filming now complete, fans are eager to see how Bhasin’s shift to a more emotional and light-hearted role unfolds on screen. The film’s title, cast details and release timeline are expected to be announced in the coming months.
