Television actor Hiten Tejwani, who has established a strong presence in the entertainment industry with his versatile performances, is all set to make his debut in Marathi cinema with the upcoming film ‘LIVE’. The actor will be seen in a completely different avatar, playing a character that is unlike the roles he has portrayed throughout his career.
Produced by Sumit Pandey under the banner of Riddhi Biddi Visions, ‘LIVE’ is presented by Chhabi Asim Halder and written and directed by Sanjeev Rai. Hiten Tejwani plays the character of Alam in the film and is expected to be one of its major attractions.
Hiten has been a familiar face on Indian television for years. He earned immense popularity through shows such as ‘Sukanya’, ‘Ghar Ek Mandir’, ‘Kutumb’, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kkusum’ and ‘Kesar’. His acting career also includes films such as ‘Krishna Cottage’, ‘Joggers’ Park’, ‘Anwar’, ‘Ankahee’ and ‘Mano Ya Na Mano’.
Talking about his Marathi cinema debut, Hiten Tejwani expressed his excitement about working with his Marathi co-stars. He revealed that the shooting of ‘LIVE’ has recently been completed and said he is looking forward to seeing how audiences respond to the film. The actor also expressed hope that the audience’s appreciation will encourage him to take up more Marathi projects in the future.
Hiten further shared that ‘LIVE’ is inspired by incidents and issues from contemporary times. According to the actor, the film highlights events happening around us that people often fail to notice and explores the impact such incidents can have on individuals and society.
The film revolves around an ambitious young woman who fights for justice and her rights. Through her journey, ‘LIVE’ explores several important social issues while portraying sensitive and emotionally powerful incidents from present-day society. The story aims to bring contemporary realities to the forefront through a compelling narrative.
The film features an ensemble cast including Milind Gunaji, Anant Jog, Nishigandha Wad, Rupali Jadhav, Sagar Kale, Anil Nagarath, Namrata Jadhav and Vinay Rajput, alongside Hiten Tejwani.
Director Sanjeev Rai has previously worked with Hiten on the web series ‘Fatima’, which streamed on Reliance Entertainment, as well as on a ‘Tesla Tuki’ advertisement. Their previous association adds another layer of familiarity to their collaboration on ‘LIVE’.
The dialogues have been written by Sanjeev Rai and Poonam Vibhute, while the songs have been penned by Mahaling Kanthale and composed by Dinesh Arjuna and Aman Shlok. Gopi has handled the cinematography, while Saifuddin Sheikh is responsible for the art direction.
For Hiten Tejwani, ‘LIVE’ marks more than just his entry into Marathi cinema. The film gives him an opportunity to explore a new character and showcase a side of his acting that audiences have not seen before.
