A childhood filled with struggles did not stop P.C. Musthafa from dreaming big. From being a Class 6 dropout and helping his father, a daily wage worker, to becoming an IIM Bangalore graduate and the founder of a successful food brand, Musthafa’s journey is a story of determination and resilience.
Born in a small village in Kerala’s Wayanad district, Musthafa grew up in a financially difficult situation. His family struggled to meet basic needs, and at a young age, he started working alongside his father. After failing Class 6, he left school, but a teacher’s encouragement helped him return to education and continue his studies.
With hard work and dedication, Musthafa went on to study Computer Science Engineering at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, and later completed his management education from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
After gaining professional experience, Musthafa decided to become an entrepreneur. In 2005, he joined hands with his cousins to start iD Fresh Food, a company that aimed to provide fresh and preservative-free Indian food products. The business began on a small scale with limited resources but focused on solving a common problem, providing quality idli and dosa batter to customers.
The company started from a small kitchen in Bengaluru and gradually expanded into one of India’s well-known fresh food brands. Today, iD Fresh Food offers products including idli-dosa batter, parotas, curd and other ready-to-cook items.
Musthafa’s journey from a child who once struggled with education to an entrepreneur leading a successful company shows the power of persistence and opportunity. His story continues to inspire aspiring entrepreneurs across India.
From a life of challenges to building a business empire, P.C. Musthafa proves that where you start does not decide where you can reach.
