Yotta Data Services has introduced ‘myShakti,’ India’s first sovereign B2C generative AI chatbot. It is powered by the open-source DeepSeek model. The chatbot provides secure and reliable AI assistance while ensuring data sovereignty by being entirely hosted on Indian servers.
A Major Step Toward AI Self-Reliance
The launch of myShakti marks a major milestone in India’s AI journey. Developed to support businesses, researchers, and individual users, myShakti offers a secure alternative to global AI chatbots. By using DeepSeek, the chatbot enables efficient AI-powered interactions. It also ensures data storage and processing remain within the country.
According to Darshan Hiranandani, CEO of the Hiranandani Group and Chairman of Yotta Data Services, myShakti aligns with India’s vision of AI self-reliance. “Ensuring that our AI infrastructure remains within Indian borders is a crucial step towards digital sovereignty,” he stated.
Cutting-Edge Infrastructure
Yotta’s AI chatbot operates on high-performance servers, consisting of 16 nodes of H100 GPUs, totaling 128 H100s. This setup ensures efficient processing and lowers operational costs compared to competing AI solutions. The beta version is currently available as a free web application at myShakti.ai.
Sunil Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Yotta Data Services, highlighted the importance of affordable AI solutions for wider adoption in India. “With myShakti, we ensure data security while making AI accessible to a larger audience by reducing computational costs,” he said.
Future Developments and Expansion
Yotta plans to improve myShakti with added capabilities based on user feedback. The company aims to refine the AI model, making it more interactive and responsive to diverse user needs. This initiative supports the Indian government’s push for indigenous AI technologies, as emphasized by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
