Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj is drawing millions of devotees for the sacred occasion of Mauni Amavasya. The administration has implemented strong measures to ensure their safety, provide health services, and promote the message of national unity through a unique digital exhibition. Mauni Amavasya is on Wednesday 29 January.

Authorities have set up strict crowd management protocols to handle the massive influx of pilgrims. Devotees are being guided to maintain lane discipline, avoid rushing at barricades and pontoon bridges, and seek police assistance when needed. To ensure smooth movement, pilgrims are encouraged to follow marked lanes while heading to Sangam for the holy dip.

Police teams, including traffic and Mela police, are on duty around the clock to maintain order and assist in emergencies. Pilgrims have also been advised to use eco-friendly items like paper and clay utensils and avoid spreading or believing in rumours.

Over 1000 medical staff, including 300 specialist doctors, are stationed across Mahakumbh Nagar to address any health emergencies. The central super speciality hospital and sector-wise medical facilities are equipped to handle minor and major surgeries. More than two lakh patients have benefited from outpatient services, and over 2.5 lakh pathology tests have been conducted so far.

Devotees can also access alternative treatments through camps organised by saints and religious groups offering ayurvedic and homeopathic care. The administration has ensured that health services are easily accessible to all pilgrims coming from across India and abroad.

A digital exhibition at Triveni Marg, organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has become a key attraction at Maha Kumbh Mela. It highlights the government’s initiatives aimed at uniting the country, such as ‘One Nation, One Tax’, ‘One Nation, One Power Grid’, and ‘One Nation, One Ration Card’.

The exhibition also focuses on entrepreneurship and self-employment schemes like MUDRA and PMEGP, showcasing how these programmes are creating opportunities for people. Visitors are engaging with interactive displays, watching documentaries, and learning about development efforts through audio-visual media.

The exhibition’s theme, ‘Unity in Diversity,’ resonates with the essence of the Maha Kumbh, reminding everyone of the strength of togetherness.

Spiritual Fervour with Robust Planning

Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 is not just a spiritual gathering but a reflection of careful planning and execution. From managing crowds to offering top-notch medical care and spreading awareness about government initiatives, the event ensures that pilgrims have a safe, comfortable, and enriching experience.

The efforts of the administration and the support of religious and government organisations showcase a perfect blend of spirituality, safety, and development at one of the world’s largest gatherings.
