The shooting of the upcoming Marathi film Live has officially begun, marking an important milestone for the project. A few days ago, the film was announced with the recording of a song during its muhurat ceremony. Since then, the project has generated curiosity among film lovers, and production is now progressing at a rapid pace.
Produced by Sumit Pandey under the banner of Riddhi Biddi Visions, Live is presented by Chhabi Asim Halder and written and directed by Sanjeev Rai. The film aims to tell an inspiring story centred on an ambitious young woman and her journey through various challenges in life.
According to the makers, Live will explore several social issues while presenting a moving narrative about a woman’s struggle for justice, dignity and her rights. The story is expected to reflect contemporary realities and highlight situations that many women continue to face in society today.
The film is currently being shot at various locations across Mumbai, including Madh, Goregaon and nearby areas. Interestingly, the title Live itself offers little indication of the film’s storyline, adding an element of mystery and increasing audience interest in the project.
Sharing his thoughts on the film, director Sanjeev Rai said that Live presents a realistic picture of society. He noted that although women have achieved success in almost every field, they continue to encounter numerous obstacles. According to him, the film is inspired by such challenging journeys and also sheds light on shortcomings within the system.
Rai further explained that the film features characters from different sections of society and brings attention to issues that have rarely been discussed on screen. He believes that the combination of realism and entertainment will offer audiences a meaningful cinematic experience while remaining engaging and emotionally compelling.
The film also boasts a strong creative team. The dialogues have been written by Sanjeev Rai and Poonam Vibhute. The cast includes well-known actors such as Milind Gunaji, Anant Jog, Nishigandha Wad, Rupali Jadhav, Hiten Tejwani, Sagar Kale, Anil Nagarath, Namrata Jadhav and Vinay Rajput, among others.
The music for the film has been composed by Dinesh Arjuna and Aman Shlok, while the lyrics have been penned by Mahaling Kanthale. Gopi is serving as the Director of Photography, and the art direction is being handled by Saifuddin Sheikh.
With filming now underway, the makers are focused on bringing this socially relevant and emotionally driven story to the big screen. Given its subject matter, experienced cast and talented creative team, Live is shaping up to be one of the Marathi films worth watching in the coming months.
