MCODS Manipal College Day was celebrated on 29 September 2025 at the Dr TMA Pai Auditorium with pride and enthusiasm. The event showcased the academic success, research achievements, and student excellence of the Manipal College of Dental Sciences, a unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and dignitaries from the Manipal and Mangalore campuses came together for the special occasion.
The programme was led by Dean Dr Gopalakrishnan Dharmarajan with Associate Deans Dr Shashi Rashmi Acharya and Dr Srikanth G. In his keynote address, Pro Vice Chancellor of Health Sciences, Dr Sharath K Rao, inspired graduates to embrace innovation, technology, and patient-centred care. He highlighted that true excellence in healthcare combines academic brilliance with service to society, praising MCODS for preparing dental professionals with global impact.
Dean Dr Dharmaraj presented the college report, announcing that MCODS will celebrate its Diamond Jubilee as Altiara from 2 to 4 January 2026 with special programmes. He also shared updates on innovative student projects and community outreach initiatives from the past year.
Awards were a major highlight of the evening. Dr Aditi Chopra received the Dr TMA Pai Gold Medal for Outstanding Research, while Dr Chaarvi Bansal was honoured with the Dr Sunder J. Vazirani Memorial Gold Medal as the Best Outgoing Student 2024–25. Reports were also presented by Dr Nihal Shetty for the Student Council and Dr Chaarvi Bansal for the Student Research Forum. Several other awards recognised the efforts of both students and faculty.
Graduates were formally presented and took the professional oath before sharing heartfelt reflections on their journey. The ceremony concluded with gratitude to mentors, faculty, and the institution, leaving everyone with a strong sense of pride and celebration.
