The 17th edition of SEGUE Sessions, a career development platform for women professionals, concluded in Mumbai yesterday. Organized by Avtar, the event focused on advancing gender inclusion in India’s workforce.

The conference brought together women professionals, students, and corporate leaders from finance, tech, healthcare, and manufacturing. The discussions emphasized leadership, career resilience, and strategies for inclusive workplaces.
A key moment was the launch of Avtar’s Inclusion Victory Book, featuring 25 case studies on workplace inclusion. It serves as a guide for organizations aiming to build diverse workforces.
EPAM Systems emerged as the winner of HackEquity, a challenge where companies decoded the Inclusion Code. The event also featured career coaching, networking, and leadership discussions.
Despite progress, women’s workforce participation in India remains at 32%. Experts at the event stressed that bridging this gap could add $700 billion to India’s GDP by 2025. Industry leaders called for data-driven approaches to strengthen gender inclusion efforts.
Rising workforce inclusion remains a priority for corporate India. With continued interventions like SEGUE Sessions, the push for gender diversity in leadership is gaining momentum.
