Tonbo Imaging India Limited has announced that its initial public offering (IPO) will open for public subscription on October 15, 2026, marking another significant listing in India’s primary market. The company has scheduled the anchor investor bidding for October 14, while the IPO will close on October 19.
The public issue will consist of equity shares with a face value of ₹2 each. Through the IPO, Tonbo Imaging aims to strengthen its market presence and support its future growth plans. The company is expected to attract interest from institutional as well as retail investors as demand for defence and advanced technology companies continues to grow.
Ahead of the public issue, the company will conduct the anchor investor bidding process on October 14, a day before the IPO opens. Anchor investors play an important role in large public offerings by subscribing to shares before the issue opens to the public, helping build confidence among other investors.
The IPO will remain open for subscription from Thursday, October 15, to Monday, October 19, giving investors five days to submit their bids. The company is expected to announce further details regarding the price band, lot size, issue size, and allocation structure through its red herring prospectus and subsequent regulatory filings.
Tonbo Imaging India operates in the defence and high-technology imaging sector, developing advanced surveillance, reconnaissance, and electro-optic systems used across defence, homeland security, and critical infrastructure. Over the years, the company has built a portfolio of imaging and sensing solutions designed for both domestic and international markets.
India’s defence manufacturing sector has witnessed rapid growth in recent years, supported by the government’s focus on self-reliance, increased defence spending, and policies encouraging indigenous production. Companies operating in defence technology have increasingly drawn investor attention due to rising opportunities in both government procurement and exports.
Market participants will closely monitor the IPO, especially considering the growing appetite for technology-driven businesses entering the stock market. Investors are also expected to evaluate the company’s financial performance, order book, growth strategy, and valuation before making investment decisions.
Like other public issues, the IPO is expected to be available through the Application Supported by Blocked Amount (ASBA) process, allowing investors to apply through their banks or supported trading platforms without immediate deduction of funds. Retail investors using the UPI mechanism will also be able to submit bids through eligible applications.
Following the completion of the issue and necessary regulatory approvals, the company’s equity shares are expected to be listed on the Indian stock exchanges, providing investors with an opportunity to participate in its long-term growth story.
Tonbo Imaging’s IPO comes at a time when the Indian primary market continues to witness strong investor participation across sectors. With increasing focus on defence technology and indigenous manufacturing, the offering is likely to remain on the radar of both institutional and retail investors in the coming weeks.
