XECH Technologies has expanded its range of home appliances with the launch of the SteamX Fold, a hybrid garment steamer designed to make everyday clothing care simpler and more convenient. Priced at an introductory ₹2,099, the new appliance combines a compact foldable design with powerful steam performance, making it suitable for use at home as well as while travelling.
The SteamX Fold features a 180 degree foldable handle, allowing it to fit easily into luggage, cupboards or small storage spaces. Its lightweight construction and premium beige glossy finish give it a modern appearance while making it practical for everyday use. The company says the product is aimed at consumers looking for a quick alternative to conventional ironing.
Powered by a 1200W heating system, the garment steamer produces continuous steam ranging from 13 to 23 grams per minute. It supports both vertical steaming for hanging clothes and horizontal steaming for garments placed on a flat surface. This hybrid functionality allows users to freshen a wide variety of clothing with ease.
To improve garment care across different materials, the SteamX Fold comes with six dedicated fabric presets. These settings are designed for fabrics including cotton, linen, silk, wool, denim and plush materials. The steamer can be used on shirts, trousers, sarees, dresses, suits, jackets, uniforms and delicate garments, offering flexibility for different wardrobe requirements.
The appliance also features an integrated base plate that improves contact with fabric for smoother and more even steaming. According to the company, the design helps remove wrinkles efficiently while being gentle on clothing.
For added convenience, the SteamX Fold includes a 200 ml water tank capable of steaming around seven to eight garments on a single refill. This reduces interruptions caused by frequent refilling during daily use.
XECH has also equipped the device with several safety and convenience features, including one button operation, a self cleaning function, leak resistant construction and boil dry protection. These additions are intended to make the product suitable for both first time users and frequent travellers.
