The trailer of the upcoming crime thriller drama “The Narmada Story” has finally been released, offering audiences a gripping mix of suspense, crime, emotions and women empowerment. Packed with intense visuals and powerful performances, the 2-minute-15-second trailer has already started creating buzz across social media platforms. One of the biggest highlights of the film is the presence of real-life IPS officer Simala Prasad in the lead role, whose fierce police officer avatar is receiving strong reactions from viewers online.
Set in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, the story begins with the mysterious disappearance of Police Inspector Purushottam Bhadauriya. As the police department struggles to find answers, it becomes clear that the missing officer was investigating a disturbing chain of missing cases in the city. With fear spreading and pressure mounting on the police force, the story takes a dramatic turn with the entry of SI Narmada Rayakwar, played by Simala Prasad, who steps in to lead the investigation.
The trailer creates a dark and suspenseful atmosphere from the very beginning. Chilling dialogues, crime sequences and mysterious visuals keep the tension alive throughout the trailer. A terrifying kinnar gang appears to be connected to the crimes, adding another layer of mystery to the story. As the investigation moves forward, the trailer hints at deeper social issues linked to girls’ safety and the harsh realities hidden within society.
Simala Prasad’s screen presence stands out as one of the major strengths of the trailer. Known in real life as an IPS officer, she appears confident and intense in the role of a determined police officer fighting against crime and injustice. Her police uniform look and emotionally charged scenes strongly reflect the film’s message of courage and women empowerment.
The trailer also features impactful performances from actors Mukesh Tiwari and National Award-winning actress Anjali Patil, who are seen dealing with public pressure and media scrutiny during the investigation. Veteran actors Zarina Wahab and Raghubir Yadav further add emotional depth to the narrative with their powerful presence in key scenes.
Some of the most striking visuals in the trailer include blindfolded girls standing in deserted night locations, tense police encounters and protest sequences. These moments suggest that “The Narmada Story” is not merely a suspense thriller, but also a socially relevant film focusing on women’s safety and justice.
One of the dialogues from the trailer has already started gaining attention among audiences: “There is no gender difference in the police force; the uniform itself is enough.” The dialogue reflects the film’s larger theme of women breaking barriers and standing strong in difficult situations.
Speaking about the film, Simala Prasad said that “The Narmada Story” is the voice of girls and women who continue fighting despite challenges and fear. She shared that, as a police officer, she has witnessed many real-life situations and tried to portray the character with honesty and emotional truth. She also expressed hope that audiences would connect deeply with the story.
Director Zaigham Imam said the film highlights an important issue within society while combining crime, suspense and emotional storytelling. According to him, the film presents a powerful portrayal of women’s strength alongside an engaging thriller narrative.
Produced under the banners of AB Infosoft Creation and Golden Ratio, the film stars Simala Prasad, Anjali Patil and Ashwini Kalsekar in prominent roles. Veteran actors including Zarina Wahab, Raghubir Yadav, Mukesh Tiwari, Sharad Singh and Ishtiyak Khan will also be seen in important characters.
