A group of renowned travel writers from Britain will visit the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj on 25-26 February. The writers will explore the Kumbh Mela along with other religious, historical, and cultural landmarks in the region.
Uttar Pradesh Tourism Minister Jayveer Singh stated that international travel writers and journalists are being invited to promote the state’s tourism potential globally. The initiative aims to highlight Uttar Pradesh’s cultural and religious heritage on the world stage.
The Tourism and Culture Department has made special arrangements for foreign tourists, including accommodation, guide services, digital information centres, and cultural programmes to provide an immersive experience of Indian traditions.
The visiting writers will tour Prayagraj’s key sites, including the Prayagraj Fort, Anand Bhawan, Akshayavat, Alfred Park, and the Sangam area. They will also visit major destinations such as Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Lucknow to explore the state’s rich heritage.
The visit is expected to boost Uttar Pradesh’s global tourism profile, showcasing the grandeur of the Kumbh Mela and positioning the state as a key international travel destination.
