The much-awaited Marathi historical film Daryabhavani, written and directed by Digpal Lanjekar, has embarked on its cinematic journey with an emotional and meaningful muhurat ceremony. The series has developed a strong connection with audiences through its focus on the life, legacy and era of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. With Daryabhavani, Lanjekar is set to explore another lesser-seen yet significant dimension of Maratha history, this time placing the maritime vision and valour of the Maratha Navy at the centre of the narrative.
The film is produced by Prakash Patil, Dr. Ashok Jiwatode of Shri Tirupati Balaji Chitra, and Pawan Sadamwar and Suraj Sadamwar of Elevate Films. Pushkar Yawalkar serves as the co-producer.
