At a time when India’s real estate sector is witnessing strong investor confidence and structural transformation, NAREDCO Maharashtra NextGen is set to host ‘Excelerate 2026’, a one-day international conclave focused on the future of real estate investment and financing. Scheduled for April 2 at the Trident Hotel in Mumbai, the event will bring together industry leaders, investors, policymakers and financial institutions to explore emerging opportunities and long-term growth prospects in the sector.
The conclave will feature a theme address by Prashant Sharma, President of NAREDCO Maharashtra. Vikas Jain, President of NAREDCO Maharashtra NextGen, will deliver a special address on the role of new-generation leadership in shaping the investment landscape. Other prominent speakers include Sandeep Runwal, Rajan Bandelkar, Niranjan Hiranandani and Atit Shah, who will share insights on industry trends and future direction.
India’s real estate sector has seen remarkable progress over the past decade, driven by reforms such as RERA, GST rationalisation and supportive RBI policies. These measures have improved transparency and governance, leading to increased investor confidence. As a result, property sales have reached record levels and institutional investments have more than doubled in the last four years. With foreign capital now contributing over half of total inflows, global interest in India’s property market continues to grow.
Public markets have also shown strong faith in the sector. Real estate companies raised over Rs 26,000 crore in the 12 months ending July 2025. Additionally, the sector accounted for nearly 15 per cent of total Alternative Investment Fund inflows, amounting to Rs 73,903 crore in FY2025. The rise of REITs and other structured investment vehicles has further expanded access to capital for developers and asset owners.
Excelerate 2026 will host a series of panel discussions focusing on capital sources, investment strategies and emerging asset classes. Key sessions will cover family offices as a growing funding source, private equity trends, sustainability in real estate finance, branded residences and the role of REITs and InvITs in unlocking capital. Industry experts from leading firms and financial institutions will participate in these discussions.
The event will also feature an exclusive gala dinner aimed at fostering networking and long-term collaborations among stakeholders. With more than 1,000 delegates expected to attend, the conclave aims to address a key gap in the industry by focusing specifically on real estate financing and capital markets.
With strong economic fundamentals, rapid urbanisation and continued policy support, India’s real estate sector is well positioned for sustained growth. Platforms like Excelerate 2026 are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the next phase of expansion and strengthening the sector’s global outlook.
