Hyatt Hotels will open seven new properties in 2025 across India and Nepal. The upcoming hotels will be located in Ghaziabad, Kasauli, Kochi, Bhopal, Vithalapur, Jaipur, and Butwal. These destinations cover business cities, religious sites, and popular holiday spots.
The expansion follows Hyatt’s strong performance in 2024, during which it signed 21 new hotel deals across India and Southwest Asia. The company aims to reach 100 hotels in India within the next five years, banking on rising demand from both domestic and international travellers.
In 2024, Hyatt signed deals in major business centres including GIFT City, Greater Noida, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. It also targeted emerging cultural and leisure destinations such as Vrindavan, Kumbhalgarh, Pushkar, Katra, Kandaghat, Jim Corbett, and Goa. The new projects reflect a broad mix of segments, including city hotels and wellness retreats.
The expansion includes a growing presence of its lifestyle brands Andaz and JdV by Hyatt. It also marks the entry of Destination by Hyatt into India for the first time. Two new hotels were signed in Nepal, one of which will open in Butwal next year.
Hyatt currently operates 52 hotels in Southwest Asia, with 50 in India and two in Nepal. The brand recently crossed the milestone of 10,000 rooms in the region. The company plans to meet the increasing demand for luxury, wellness, and unique stay experiences with a focused strategy on new and under-tapped markets.
