GOLD Feb-25 futures contract gains by 0.84% and SILVER Mar-25 futures contract gains by 1.02%, while CRUDEOIL Feb-25 futures contract gains by 0.1% : Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures reaches at 19540 point

India’s leading commodity derivatives exchange, Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) has recorded turnover of Rs.52164.74 crores in various futures & option contracts for commodities listed at MCX on 30 January 2025 till 5:00 pm. In which commodity futures accounted for Rs. 10822.6 crores and options on commodity futures for Rs. 41339.21 crores (notional). Bullion Index MCXBULLDEX Feb-25 futures was reached at 19540 point.

MCX shall be conducting a special live trading session on Saturday, February 1, 2025, to make available the trading platform for market participants on account of presentation of the Union Budget, supporting their real-time risk management and hedging requirements. The exchange will remain open for normal trade from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Commodity Future Contracts:

Bullion: In precious metals, Turnover of Gold and Silver variants clocked Rs. 7564.51 crores. GOLD Feb-25 contract was up by 0.84% to Rs. 80952 per 10 gram, GOLDGUINEA Jan-25 contract was up by 0.71% to Rs. 64986 per 8 gram and GOLDPETAL Jan-25 contract was up by 0.51% to Rs. 8024 per gram. On other hand, GOLDM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.77% to Rs. 80932 per 10 gram.

SILVER Mar-25 contract was up by 1.02% to Rs. 92805 per kg, while SILVERM Feb-25 contract was up by 0.94% to Rs. 92684 per kg and SILVERMIC Feb-25 contract was up by 0.98% to Rs. 92705 per kg.

Gold futures clocked turnover of Rs. 3546.58 crores with volume of 4374 lots and OI of 16667 lots while Silver futures clocked turnover of Rs. 1657.01 crores with volume of 5952 lots and OI of 25109 lots.

Base Metal: Turnover of base metal products accounted for Rs. 930.80 crores. COPPER Jan-25 contract was up by 0.88% to Rs. 827.75 per kg and ZINC Jan-25 contract was down by 0.02% to Rs. 262.1 per kg while ALUMINIUM Jan-25 contract was up by 0.76% to Rs. 259.3 per kg and LEAD Jan-25 contract was up by 0.77% to Rs. 177.8 per kg.

Copper futures clocked turnover of Rs. 524.55 crores, Aluminium futures Rs. 131.86 crores, Lead futures Rs. 11.92 crores, and Zinc futures clocked turnover of Rs. 180.68 crores.

Energy: Turnover of energy products contributed for Rs. 2339.10 crores. CRUDEOIL Feb-25 contract was up by 0.1% to Rs. 6300 per BBL while NATURALGAS Feb-25 contract was up by 2.27% to Rs. 279.9 per MMBTU.

Crude Oil futures clocked turnover of Rs. 335.57 crores and Natural Gas futures Rs. 1675.28 crores.

AGRI: MENTHAOIL Jan-25 contract was up by 0.11% to Rs. 917 per kg and COTTONCNDY Mar-25 contract was up by 0.47% to Rs. 53610 per candy.

Options on Commodity Future Contracts:

Commodity Options accounted for Rs. 41339.21 crores turnover (notional), having premium turnover of Rs. 884.01 crores.

Crude Oil Options: Most traded contracts among Crude Oil Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was down by 0.51% to Rs. 175.40 with volume of 52834 lots & OI of 10637 lots, while Crude Oil Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.6300 was down by 1.6% to Rs. 178.5 with volume of 46923 lots & OI of 10158 lots.

Natural Gas Options: Most traded contracts among Natural Gas Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.280 was up by 20.38% to Rs. 15.95 with volume of 18030 lots & OI of 4379 lots, while Natural Gas Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.270 was down by 16.73% to Rs. 11.7 with volume of 12030 lots & OI of 3980 lots.

Gold Options: Most traded contracts among Gold Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.82000 was up by 29.03% to Rs. 1040.00 with volume of 356 lots & OI of 284 lots, while Gold Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.80000 was down by 14.61% to Rs. 725 with volume of 838 lots & OI of 610 lots.

Silver Options: Most traded contracts among Silver Options were Call Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was up by 19.13% to Rs. 3030.00 with volume of 735 lots & OI of 588 lots, while Silver Put Option Feb-25 contract at Strike price of Rs.92000 was down by 13.54% to Rs. 2255 with volume of 657 lots & OI of 309 lots.
