Tata Motors Aarogya Programme has touched more than 6.6 lakh lives through its healthcare and nutrition initiatives. The programme has delivered strong results, including 87% recovery among severely malnourished children and an 80% reduction in anaemia cases among women.
Launched with the goal of improving community health, Aarogya focuses on child nutrition, awareness for women and adolescents, and access to preventive and curative care. The initiative is active in regions where healthcare support is limited, including rural areas and urban slums in Jamshedpur, Pune, Pantnagar, Dharwad, Lucknow, Sanand, and Mumbai.
In Jamshedpur alone, the programme has benefitted nearly three lakh residents in East Singhbhum district. In Mumbai’s Trombay slums, Tata Motors introduced Project Aarogyasampanna, which reduced cases of severe child malnutrition by 90%. In Sanand, the project helped more than 500 children recover from malnutrition, achieving an 88% success rate.
Speaking on the progress, Vinod Kulkarni, CSR Head at Tata Motors, said nutrition is a foundation for resilience and long-term well-being. He added that Aarogya’s community-driven model works closely with government schemes and local partners to create measurable, lasting impact.
Today, the Tata Motors Aarogya Programme operates across 26 states and eight union territories. By focusing on child health, women’s wellness, and preventive care, the initiative is helping to meet national goals like Poshan Abhiyaan and is contributing towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
