True Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is set to re-release the 2002 romantic hit Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa in cinemas on 13 February 2026, offering audiences a nostalgic theatrical experience just ahead of Valentine’s Day.
Directed by Kuku Kohli, Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa was a notable box-office success in 2002 and is still fondly remembered for its music, romance, and cinematic scale. Uniquely, the film has never been made available on any OTT platform, making this re-release the first opportunity in over two decades for viewers to enjoy it on the big screen.
Kuku Kohli is widely recognised in Hindi commercial cinema for introducing Ajay Devgn in Phool Aur Kaante (1991), a debut that became iconic, particularly for its legendary bike-split opening. Over his career, Kohli has directed films such as Suhaag, Haqeeqat, Zulmi, and Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa, also launching actors Karan Nath and Jividha Sharma with this romantic blockbuster. The film’s soundtrack, released by Tips Music, continues to perform strongly on music charts, keeping its songs relevant even today.
The re-release allows audiences to rediscover the romantic pairing of Karan Nath and Jividha Sharma, presented in a version re-edited to appeal to contemporary sensibilities. The film has received fresh certification from the CBFC, ensuring it meets today’s viewing standards.
Shailendra Mandowara of True Entertainment, who has been active in film production and distribution for over 24 years, including cult classics like Tujhe Meri Kasam, said:
“At True Entertainment, we believe some films are made to be experienced in theatres. Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa has never been released on satellite or OTT, and this re-release allows today’s audiences to experience it the way it was meant to be. Yeh Dil Aashiqanaa will hit cinemas nationwide on 13 February 2026, just in time for Valentine’s Day celebrations.
