Fitness reality series Battleground is set to return with a bigger and more dynamic second season, as Rusk Media strengthens its flagship property with new mentors and a major brand partnership. The upcoming season will stream on Amazon MX Player from April 2026.
In a significant development, Thums Up has come on board as the presenting partner for Battleground Season 2. The association is expected to amplify the show’s reach and reinforce its high-energy positioning among audiences across India.
The new season introduces actor Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and athlete Rahul Chaudhary as mentors, joining returning mentor Abhishek Malhan. Adding further star power, cricketer Shikhar Dhawan returns as the Super Mentor, continuing his role from the previous season.
Battleground S2 is positioned as a high-energy fitness reality show that focuses on strength, endurance, and mental resilience. The format revolves around team-based competition, with squads such as Delhi Dominators, Mumbai Strikers, and Telugu Tigers competing in physically demanding challenges. Each team is led by a mentor, bringing their unique style and strategy to the game.
The show has been designed keeping mobile-first audiences in mind. It goes beyond traditional episodic storytelling by creating a larger engagement ecosystem. Daily interactions, social media extensions, creator collaborations, and community-led content are expected to play a key role in maintaining audience interest throughout the season.
Mayank Yadav, Co-Founder and CEO of Rusk Media, said that Battleground has evolved into one of the company’s most engaging IPs due to its strong cultural connect and wide reach. He added that Season 2 aims to further expand this vision by building a Bharat-first premium format that reflects diverse voices and regional representation.
Highlighting the commercial aspect, Rahul Arora, Head of Rusk Ads, noted that the new season has been structured to offer deeper brand integration opportunities. Instead of traditional advertising, the format allows brands to become part of the narrative through content-driven engagement, making interactions more authentic and impactful.
Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who will lead the Mumbai Strikers, said the competitive energy of the show and the opportunity to build a strong team attracted her to the format. Rahul Chaudhary, mentoring the Telugu Tigers, emphasised the importance of discipline and teamwork, stating that he looks forward to guiding a focused and fearless squad.
With a stronger format, expanded mentor line-up, and strategic brand partnerships, Battleground Season 2 is set to build on its initial success. The show aims to position itself as one of India’s most engaging fitness reality formats, blending entertainment, competition, and digital interactivity.
