In a unique step towards experiential wellness, Numen Rising has brought the globally recognised IMMERSIV floating breathwork experience to India for the first time. Founded by Madhurima Nigam, the initiative marks a significant moment in the country’s evolving mindfulness and healing landscape.
IMMERSIV, which has already gained attention in Dubai, offers a deeply immersive approach to inner well-being. The concept is simple yet powerful. Participants lie on floating beds in warm water while being guided through a structured breathwork journey. This combination of water support and conscious breathing is designed to help release stored emotions, restore balance, and reconnect individuals with their natural rhythm.
The India debut turned into a notable gathering, with several public figures in attendance, including Urmila Matondkar, Abhimanyu Dasani, Taha Shah Badussha, Barkha Singh, Meera Chopra, and Zara Khan, among others. Their presence highlighted the growing interest in mindful wellness practices within India’s creative and public communities.
The session was led by Ashley Edelman, the Chief Breathwork Facilitator at IMMERSIV Dubai. With extensive experience guiding participants through floating breathwork, Edelman brought a calm and grounded presence to the experience. His approach focused on creating a safe, intentional space where individuals could fully surrender to the process.
The evening unfolded as a carefully curated journey. It began with Madhurima Nigam sharing the vision behind bringing IMMERSIV to India. This was followed by a moment of quiet reflection, where participants set personal intentions. A sacred cacao ceremony helped open the emotional and physical space, preparing individuals for deeper work.
Participants then moved to individual floating beds, equipped with headphones and eye masks to enhance focus. Over the next 60 minutes, they were guided through a breathwork session designed to facilitate emotional release and inner clarity. The water provided physical support, allowing the body to relax completely, while the breath acted as a tool for transformation.
The experience concluded with a gentle reintegration phase, giving participants time to process and ground themselves. The evening then transitioned into a relaxed setting with nourishing food and open conversations, encouraging connection and reflection.
Speaking about the launch, Madhurima Nigam described Numen Rising as a deeply personal journey aimed at creating spaces for authentic inner connection. She emphasised that IMMERSIV is not just an experience, but a nurturing environment where transformation can happen naturally.
Ashley Edelman echoed this sentiment, highlighting that breathwork allows individuals to release, soften, and reconnect with themselves. He noted that the addition of water makes the experience even more profound, enabling deeper surrender and healing.
With its thoughtful design and growing global appeal, IMMERSIV’s arrival signals a new chapter in India’s wellness movement.
