Amazon MX Player has released its newest original series, Loot Kaand, a high-stakes crime thriller now streaming for free. Directed by Ruchir and produced by the makers of Drishyam, the show explores a gripping narrative of deception, crime, and survival set in the small town of Purulia.
Tanya Maniktala leads the cast as Latika, a character built on raw instinct and unwavering conviction. The series follows a string of heists that unravel deep personal conflicts and irreversible choices. Alongside Maniktala, the ensemble includes Sahil Mehta, Gyandendra Tripathi, Saad Bilgrami, Ronjini Chakraborty, Nitin Goel, and Amit Sarkar.
Speaking about her role, Tanya described Latika as someone shaped by inner belief and personal choices. “People rarely question their own convictions, and that’s what makes them fascinating. Loot Kaand reflects that complexity. Every decision adds to the intensity, and changing even one could have rewritten the entire story,” she said.
She also shared a moment from the show that resonated with her personally. “There’s a scene where Latika returns to her family after reaching her lowest point. She has no hope left, but her family doesn’t try to solve her problems — they just stay with her. That kind of support hit home for me. It reminded me how important it is to have people who remind you of your strength, even in silence.”
The series dives deep into emotional storytelling while maintaining the suspense of a classic heist drama.
