The 19th edition of HGH India, one of the country’s largest trade shows for the home and lifestyle industry, has opened at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO, bringing together leading domestic and international brands under one roof. Running from 30 June to 3 July, the four-day exhibition is expected to attract more than 50,000 trade buyers from India and overseas, reaffirming its position as a key business platform for the sector.
This year’s edition features over 700 Indian and international brands, presenting the latest products and innovations across home textiles, home décor, houseware, furnishings, gifts and lifestyle products. The inaugural ceremony was attended by several prominent dignitaries from government, industry and the design community. Vrinda Manohar Desai (IRS), Textile Commissioner at the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, inaugurated the exhibition as the Chief Guest.
Among the distinguished guests were Walter Ferrara, Consul General of Italy; Vikas Pansare (IAS), Managing Director of the Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation (MSSIDC); Ketan Seth, Chairman of the Institute of Indian Interior Designers (IIID) Mumbai Regional Chapter; renowned architect Reza Kabul, President and Principal Architect of ARK Reza Kabul Architects; architect Rajeev Kasat, Principal Architect of Rajeev Kasat & Associates; and architect Makarand Pataskar, Principal Architect of Makarand Pataskar Architects.
The event was hosted by Arun Roongta, Managing Director of Texzone Information Services Pvt. Ltd., and Dr. Geert Botger, Director of Expo + Consulting Associates Ltd.
During the inauguration, speakers highlighted the rapid transformation of India’s home and lifestyle sector, driven by changing consumer preferences, technological advancements and increasing demand for sustainable products. Industry experts agreed that innovation, design excellence and environmentally responsible manufacturing will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the industry.
