Travel platform Cleartrip has launched Cleartrip Creators Club, a new affiliate programme designed to help travel content creators earn money by connecting their social media content directly to travel bookings. The initiative reflects the growing influence of digital creators in shaping travel decisions and aims to create new income opportunities for creators of all sizes.
Unlike many creator programmes that require a large follower base, the Cleartrip Creators Club has no minimum follower requirement. Instead, the company says it will focus on meaningful audience engagement and the quality of content rather than just the number of followers.
The programme allows creators to share travel recommendations, destination guides, hotel reviews and holiday experiences through their social media platforms. By linking this content to bookings on Cleartrip, creators can earn commissions based on the bookings generated through their audience.
The launch comes at a time when social media has become one of the biggest sources of travel inspiration. Platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and short-video apps are increasingly influencing where people choose to travel, where they stay and what experiences they book. As a result, travel creators have emerged as important voices in the tourism industry.
Speaking about the initiative, Pallavi Saxena, Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer at Cleartrip, said that younger travellers, particularly Generation Z, have changed the way people discover and plan holidays.
She said travel inspiration now begins on social media, with creators playing a central role in influencing travel choices. According to her, the Cleartrip Creators Club is designed to transform every travel post into a potential earning opportunity while allowing every booking to inspire more travel stories.
Saxena added that the company’s objective is to build a sustainable ecosystem where creators are rewarded for their influence while travellers benefit from authentic recommendations and experiences shared by trusted content creators.
During its pilot phase, the programme received encouraging results from creators across different regions of India. Cleartrip said Telugu-language content emerged as one of the fastest-growing segments, highlighting the increasing importance of regional language creators in India’s expanding digital economy.
The company believes regional creators are helping make travel content more accessible and relatable for audiences across the country. Their growing influence has encouraged Cleartrip to expand the programme nationwide.
As part of its long-term plans, Cleartrip aims to onboard more than 10,000 creators by the end of 2026. The company expects the initiative to strengthen its presence in the creator economy while supporting India’s fast-growing travel and tourism sector.
With the rise of influencer marketing and digital commerce, affiliate programmes are becoming an increasingly popular way for creators to monetise their content. Through the Creators Club, Cleartrip hopes to build stronger partnerships with content creators while making travel discovery and booking more engaging for customers.
The initiative also reflects a broader shift in the travel industry, where content creation, community engagement and online influence are playing a larger role in shaping consumer behaviour and driving bookings.
